Me? Monogamous? Hard to believe, but I haven't been able to knit on anything except the 'Draw String Raglan' from Interweave Knits Summer edition. I don't know what it is about this particular project that makes me desire it so. I even had a bunch of yarns come in from www.pickupsticks.com . Am I tempted? Not a bit. Now I look and fondle a little. It is malabrigo after all. But I can't seem to put my raglan down.
I'm going out of town on Sunday for a short trip and the raglan isn't condusive to travel knitting, so I will be forced away from my beloved. Maybe I'll knit socks. Knitty's 'spring forward' is calling me a little.
"Remember that time when my favorite colors were pink and green" Or so goes the line from the Regina Spektor song. Hence I called this yarn 'Sweet and Juicy' I actually hated this on the bobbin, but I'm now loving it. It will become mittens I think.
Man, that is the coolest gift EVER! Even cooler than the one last year! I totally love it, I will seriously wear it like all summer, even in the hottest of heat. it is the perfect size even! I definitely feel qualified to dwell in galaxy far far away and fight the dark side and be the princess of Alderan and all that
I think last year I gave her a mohawk hat. Maybe I'm starting a tradition whereby I knit Lucy a crazy ass hat every birthday. Hmmm? Hallowig next year?
I'm not sure. Sure, it makes a more balanced yarn. This was very evident. The plied yarn did not twist back on itself and I didn't have to whack the hell out of it like I had to do with the previous singles. But, I dunno. I guess once I get to be a more consistant spinner it will be okay. Here it is, in all its glory - my newest yarn called 'Prom Queen'. (Amy came up with the name after observing how the piles of predrafted roving resembled prom dresses)
